Welcome to St James Church, Barton under Needwood. This site has been produced in aid of the Church Bell Restoration Appeal. The aim is to provide information about St James Church and the current problems with the bell installation which has resulted in an appeal fund being launched. We trust you find the site both interesting and informative.

Why are Church bells rung?

What are we trying to achieve?

A detailed quote has been submitted by Nicholson Engineering to tune and re-hang the bells in a modern frame which totals in excess of £40,000,with the work taking approximately 4 months.  It is hoped that this sum can be raised within a 2 year period. Funds raised to date total approximately £1500, with further funding from grants being actively sought.
